10 Best Roof Waterproofing Contractors in Singapore (2026), Ranked by Reviews

We evaluated 30+ roof waterproofing contractors in Singapore, ranked by Google reviews, workmanship quality, warranty terms, and response time.

Singapore's tropical climate subjects every building to relentless waterproofing stress. Two monsoon seasons, year-round humidity above 80%, and intense UV cycles cause waterproofing membranes to degrade far faster than in temperate climates. Flat roofs β€” standard on HDB blocks, condominiums, and commercial shophouses β€” are especially vulnerable, as standing water accelerates membrane failure and forces water into structural gaps over time. Homeowners and facilities managers dealing with persistent roof leaks, damp ceilings, or visible efflorescence face a market crowded with contractors of wildly varying capability. We evaluated more than 30 roof waterproofing contractors in Singapore, ranking each by Google Maps rating and review volume, quality of materials and application methods, warranty terms, response time, and pricing transparency. This list covers the best waterproofing contractors in Singapore for 2026, ranked to help property owners make a confident, informed choice.

Key Takeaways

  • Best overall: The Roofing Specialist, the highest-rated dedicated roof waterproofing specialist in Singapore with 216 Google reviews at 4.9 stars and a pure focus on residential and commercial waterproofing
  • Best by review volume: Proof-Tech Waterproofing & Maintenance, with 274 Google reviews at 4.8 stars and over a decade of active operation in Singapore
  • Best 5-star rated: WaterproofSG Pte. Ltd., holding a perfect 5.0 Google rating across 197 reviews with 24-hour availability
  • Best for integrated roofing and waterproofing: Asiatech Roofing and Waterproofing Pte Ltd, covering both roof structure and membrane systems on the same project
  • Expect to pay SGD 800–3,500 for flat roof waterproofing on a standard HDB or terrace house in Singapore, depending on roof area, membrane system selected, and extent of preparatory work required
  • Red flag to avoid: waterproofing contractors who apply new membrane directly over existing failed coatings without stripping and treating the substrate first

How We Ranked These Waterproofing Contractors

We ranked each roof waterproofing contractor using five criteria: Google Maps rating (minimum 4.0 to qualify), verified review count (minimum 15 reviews), direct observation of response time to a test enquiry, stated warranty terms for waterproofing work, and scope of services covering both residential and commercial roof types. Contractors who apply new membrane coatings over unstripped failed substrates, request full payment upfront, or operate without a verifiable Singapore address were excluded regardless of rating. Entries with verified specialist waterproofing credentials were scored above general contractors offering waterproofing as one of many services. BestThingReview.com assessed more than 30 businesses before selecting the final 10 on this list.

1. The Roofing Specialist, Best Overall

The Roofing Specialist

The Roofing Specialist Pte Ltd is Singapore's top-ranked dedicated roof waterproofing contractor, having built a 4.9-star Google rating across 216 verified reviews by focusing exclusively on waterproofing and roofing rather than spreading across general construction. Based at Huddington Ave in the east, their team handles the full spectrum of roof waterproofing needs: flat roof membrane systems for HDB blocks and condominiums, pitched roof waterproofing for terrace houses and semi-detached homes, commercial roof waterproofing for shophouses and industrial buildings, roof repair addressing cracks, parapet wall failures, and drainage issues, and full roof replacement when existing structure is beyond remediation. The specialist focus is their core differentiator. Where general contractors may apply a standard membrane regardless of substrate condition or roof type, The Roofing Specialist diagnoses the underlying failure mode before specifying the appropriate system, a distinction that determines whether a repair holds for years or fails within the next monsoon season.

Their seven-day operating schedule running from 9AM to 10PM is notably broader than most contractors on this list, providing real flexibility for property owners who need weekend site assessments or cannot take time off during the week for contractor visits. The review record consistently highlights three qualities: accurate first-diagnosis of leak sources, clear pre-work documentation including photos and written material specifications, and invoices that match quotes without escalation. For any property owner in Singapore dealing with roof leaks, damp ceilings, or failed waterproofing membranes, The Roofing Specialist is the strongest first call.

"The Roofing Specialist fixed a flat roof leak that had caused damp patches across two ceilings for over a year. They identified the exact membrane failure point during the inspection, applied a polyurethane system with full substrate preparation, and gave us a written warranty. Eighteen months on and the ceiling is completely dry.", Rachel T. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…

2. Proof-Tech Waterproofing, Best by Review Volume

Proof-Tech Waterproofing

Proof-Tech Waterproofing & Maintenance Pte Ltd has accumulated the largest verified Google review count among waterproofing specialists on this list, with 274 reviews at 4.8 stars from their Yishun base. The business has operated in Singapore's waterproofing market for over a decade and handles a wide range of waterproofing applications: flat roof membranes, toilet and bathroom waterproofing, external wall sealing, and below-grade waterproofing for basement and carpark structures. Their material catalogue spans cementitious coatings, bituminous membranes, and liquid polyurethane systems, with system selection based on substrate type, exposure conditions, and the client's budget. The volume of completed projects visible in their Google review history is the strongest indicator of their consistent execution across diverse property types and conditions.

Proof-Tech operates Monday to Saturday 9AM–9PM and Sunday 9AM–5PM, covering most scheduling windows for residential and commercial clients. They price via site inspection rather than phone estimate, ensuring quotes reflect the actual condition of the substrate rather than a generic floor rate. Reviews from property managers and facilities officers frequently reference accurate diagnosis, well-managed timelines, and paperwork suitable for building maintenance records. For property owners who prioritise a contractor with a demonstrable track record of completed waterproofing projects, Proof-Tech's review volume makes them a low-risk choice.

3. WaterproofSG, Best 5-Star Rated

WaterproofSG

WaterproofSG Pte. Ltd. holds a perfect 5.0 Google rating across 197 reviews from their Kovan base, one of the most compelling combinations of rating and volume in Singapore's waterproofing category. The firm operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, making them genuinely reachable during active leak situations rather than only during business hours. Their service scope covers roof waterproofing, bathroom and toilet waterproofing, wall and facade sealing, and window frame leak rectification. The diagnostic approach is precise: their team identifies the exact water ingress point before recommending a treatment, avoiding the blanket re-coating approach that many contractors use as a default regardless of the actual failure mechanism.

The 5.0 rating across 197 reviews is particularly notable because it reflects sustained performance across a large number of completed projects. In Singapore's waterproofing market, most contractors see ratings drift downward as review volume increases, making WaterproofSG's consistent perfect score across nearly 200 projects a strong quality signal. Reviews highlight the speed of site assessment booking, typically within 2–3 business days, and the accuracy of their first-attempt repairs for leaks that previous contractors had failed to resolve. For clients dealing with complex or recurring roof leaks where prior contractors have not succeeded, WaterproofSG's diagnostic precision makes them the strongest choice in this category.

They pinpointed the actual entry point, explained why the previous repairs had not held, and sealed it correctly on the first attempt. That was 14 months ago and we have had zero recurrence.", Jasmine K. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…

4. Flux Solutions, Best for Commercial Waterproofing

Flux Solutions

Flux Solutions Pte Ltd operates from their Serangoon North base and holds a 4.9-star Google rating across 163 reviews with 24-hour availability. The firm covers a broad waterproofing scope including roof membrane systems, external wall waterproofing, basement and underground structure treatment, and wet area bathroom applications. Their commercial focus is particularly strong, with a client mix that includes industrial buildings, office blocks, and food and beverage facilities requiring robust waterproofing systems capable of withstanding heavy foot traffic and mechanical loads on treated surfaces. Flux Solutions uses a range of application systems including crystalline waterproofing, torch-on bituminous membranes, and polyurethane liquid systems, selected based on structural requirements and the specific exposure environment.

The round-the-clock operating schedule reflects a commercial orientation: building managers and facilities teams often need urgent waterproofing assessments outside standard business hours, particularly after incidents detected during weekend inspections. Reviews from commercial clients consistently reference the team's ability to work within building access restrictions, coordinate around tenant occupation schedules, and produce documentation suitable for property management reporting. For facility managers, building owners, and property management companies needing a waterproofing contractor with commercial experience and a flexible schedule, Flux Solutions is one of the strongest options in Singapore.

5. Asiatech Roofing and Waterproofing, Best for Roofing & Waterproofing

Asiatech Roofing and Waterproofing

Asiatech Roofing and Waterproofing Pte Ltd combines structural roofing and waterproofing membrane work under a single specialist team, making them the strongest choice when a property needs both services on the same project. Based in Ang Mo Kio Tech II and operating 24 hours a day, they carry a 4.9-star Google rating across 101 reviews. Their service scope covers roof repair and replacement across HDB and landed property types, combined with waterproofing membrane application for flat and pitched roof surfaces. This integration is a practical advantage: separating structural repair from waterproofing across two different contractors creates coordination risk and typically lengthens project timelines, while a single firm handling both disciplines ensures system compatibility and clear warranty accountability.

Asiatech's approach to restoration β€” cleaning, preparing, and recoating existing roof surfaces β€” makes them particularly cost-effective for roofs where the underlying structure is sound but the waterproofing layer has failed. Reviews highlight their willingness to document existing conditions with photographs and explain options clearly before recommending a course of action. For HDB and landed property owners who need both structural roofing work and waterproofing addressed in a single engagement without managing multiple contractors, Asiatech is the most efficient option on this list.

6. Hydroworks Waterproofing, Best 24-Hour Service

Hydroworks Waterproofing

Hydroworks Waterproofing operates from their Ang Mo Kio base with 24-hour availability and a 4.8-star Google rating across 75 reviews. The firm specialises in waterproofing for roofs, bathrooms, and external walls, with a particular strength in rapid-response assessments for active leak situations. Their round-the-clock schedule is a genuine operational capability rather than a marketing claim: reviews reference same-day and evening assessments arranged outside standard business hours, which is critical when a live roof leak is causing interior damage that cannot wait for a scheduled appointment. Services span polyurethane liquid membrane application, cementitious waterproofing, and sealant injection for hairline cracks in parapet walls and roof junctions.

Hydroworks positions itself as a free inspection provider, with their website url reflecting this as a direct call to action for property owners who want to understand the condition of their roof waterproofing before committing to repair costs. This approach is valuable for older properties where owners suspect waterproofing failure but are uncertain about the extent before engaging a contractor. Reviews praise the team's punctuality, non-pressured assessment process, and competitive pricing for straightforward membrane applications. For property owners who need an honest evaluation of their waterproofing condition alongside genuine round-the-clock availability, Hydroworks is a strong choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does roof waterproofing cost in Singapore?

Roof waterproofing costs in Singapore typically range from SGD 800 to SGD 3,500 for a standard residential flat roof, depending on roof area, the waterproofing system specified, and the extent of substrate preparation required before membrane application. Polyurethane liquid membranes cost more than acrylic or cementitious coatings but offer superior flexibility and durability in Singapore's thermal cycling environment. For commercial flat roofs above 200 square metres, costs often range from SGD 5,000 to SGD 15,000 depending on material specification and access complexity. Always obtain at least two itemised written quotes before committing to any waterproofing contract.

How long does roof waterproofing last in Singapore?

A professionally applied polyurethane or torch-on bituminous membrane on a flat roof typically lasts 5 to 10 years in Singapore's climate before requiring reapplication. Acrylic and cementitious coatings generally have a shorter service life of 3 to 6 years. Actual longevity depends heavily on substrate preparation quality at the time of application, roof drainage efficiency, and whether the membrane was applied over a correctly primed and dried surface. Poor substrate preparation is the single most common cause of premature membrane failure, making contractor selection more important than membrane brand choice.

Are there BCA requirements for roof waterproofing in Singapore?

Under the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Code on Buildability and relevant Singapore Standards, waterproofing systems for roofs and wet areas must meet minimum performance standards for water resistance. For new builds and major A&A (Addition and Alteration) works, waterproofing systems must be approved and installed according to manufacturer specifications by qualified personnel. Under the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act (BMSMA), owners of strata-titled properties are responsible for waterproofing their own units above a defined threshold. The HDB handles roof waterproofing for common areas of HDB blocks; owners of HDB flats are responsible for internal wet area waterproofing only.

When should I reapply roof waterproofing in Singapore?

The clearest indicator is visible water ingress: damp patches on ceilings, efflorescence (white salt deposits) on concrete surfaces, or standing water on flat roofs after rain are all signs that waterproofing has failed and immediate inspection is warranted. For preventive maintenance, flat roof waterproofing should be inspected annually before the northeast monsoon season (October–November) and reapplied whenever a professional inspection identifies membrane cracking, delamination, or loss of adhesion. For properties over 15 years old, a biannual inspection cycle is recommended. Reapplying before complete membrane failure is significantly more cost-effective than emergency repair after water ingress has caused interior damage.
