About The Little House (Montessori)

The Little House on Jalan Keria is the Bukit Timah area's most established Montessori preschool, holding a 4.8-star Google rating across 65 reviews: the highest review count of any 4.8-rated preschool in this ranking. That depth of parent feedback at a sustained 4.8 stars across many years of operation is a strong indicator of a programme that delivers the Montessori philosophy with genuine fidelity rather than as a marketing label. The Montessori method: which positions children as self-directed learners working with purposefully designed didactic materials at their own developmental pace, guided by trained educators who observe and facilitate rather than direct: is one of the most extensively researched early childhood approaches in the world, and The Little House implements it with the seriousness and consistency it deserves. The physical environment at The Little House is structured in the authentic Montessori manner: accessible low shelving, carefully maintained materials, mixed-age groupings that enable older children to model for younger ones, and uninterrupted work cycles that allow deep concentration to develop. The teaching team holds certified Montessori training: a credential that distinguishes genuine Montessori programmes from the many Singapore preschools that borrow the name without the methodology. The hours, running from 8:30am to 4:30pm, reflect the Montessori community's emphasis on calm, unhurried days over extended care, and suit families whose schedules allow a shorter day. For parents who have researched the Montessori approach and want an authentic implementation in the Bukit Timah area, The Little House is the strongest available option.
